BEGINNERS

If you are interested in playing piano for the first time, or have played a long time ago and would like to begin again, then I can help you develop at your own pace with a goal that suits you. Perhaps you would like to learn popular songs that you've always wanted to play, or perhaps you would like to learn classical pieces. You may want to take Grades, or you may simply want to play for fun. Whatever you want, I can cater for.

* During the covid pandemic, I am offering online sessions too. They have proved to be very successful with my students. All you need is a keyboard/piano and a camera (such as the one on your phone or ipad). Indeed, you can be living anywhere in the world for this service. I currently have one oversees student.

EXAM GRADES

For those wishing to take exams, I teach ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) Grades 1-8. They are not for everybody, but they do enable students to grow as musicians. Step by step, they offer clear goals to work towards, with each exam consisting of pieces, scales, sight reading and aural tests. But don't worry, I never enter students unless they are ready! My students have a 100% pass rate.
